Hinduism in Latvia : ウィキペディア英語版 | Hinduism in Latvia Hinduism in Latvia is a minor religion, spread mainly by ISKCON and Brahma Kumaris. Also there is a mandir of Nath tradition in Riga. ISKCON started in Latvia in the early eighties. As of April 2006, 11 congregations of Hare Krishna ISKCON are registered in Latvia.〔( International Religious Freedom Report 2006, Latvia )〕 In 2005, Hare Krishna gave its membership figures as 127 to the Justice Ministry.〔 ISKCON maintains a temple in Riga and organizes annual festival Ratha Yatra. Brahma Kumaris have three centres in Latvia: in Riga, Daugavpils, and Rēzekne.〔(Brahma Kumari Centre in Latvia )〕 Gorakhnath mandir was established in 2011. Masters of Nath tradition go there to hold retreats, public satsangs and educating programs concerned with different aspects of spiritual practice. Hindu festivals (Shivaratri, Navaratri etc) are celebrated in the mandir as well. ==References==
